10th April – Visit of King Charles III and Queen Camilla and President of the Italian Republic Mattarella

On Thursday 10th April, Ravenna will welcome Their Majesties King Charles III and Queen Camilla, and the President of the Italian Republic Sergio Mattarella. Their visit represents a moment of particular relevance and involvement for the city, which will enjoy significant international visibility.

The reception of the royals and of the Italian president involves a particularly complex organisation aimed at ensuring maximum security for the visit, which will involve various areas and places in the city. This, understandably, will cause some inevitable inconvenience. The municipality trusts the understanding of the citizens.

In addition, this may impact the accessibility of places and businesses along the affected streets.

CLOSURES

  • Museo Dante and Casa Dante
  • Schools: Guido Novello, Mordani and San Vincenzo de Paoli

In connection with these measures, taken for security reasons, travel and waiting times may lengthen by up to 90 minutes. Similarly, viale Randi and its adjacent roads will be interrupted as the authorities pass by.

On the occasion of the visit of Their Majesties King Charles III and Queen Camilla and due to the closure of the historical centre to vehicular traffic, on Thursday 10th April the urban, coastal and suburban public transport service will undergo significant route changes.

From the beginning of the service and until the end of the visit, scheduled around 4 pm, routes 1-2-3-4-5-8-70-80-90-145-149-154-155-156-157-158-159-161-162-187 will make the deviations reported on the website of Start Romagna.
