On the occasion of the 7th centenary of Dante Alighieri’s death, Ravenna lights up the historical centre with the verses of the Supreme poet.
Until January 6th 2022, the streets of Ravenna dress up with LA LUCE DELLE PAROLE, a project of light installations that recalls some of the Supreme Poet’s most emblematic words, many of which celebrate the city.
The project outlines a bright path through the porticoes and buildings of the city, a real homage to the Father of Italian language and a message of hope, wishing that soon we will “see-once more-the stars” (Inferno XXXIV, 139).
Via Gordini, via Diaz, via Corrado Ricci, via Mazzini, via IV Novembre and via Cavour: these are the streets of the city centre turned into open-air literature pages.
