On the occasion of European Maritime Day 2022, which will take place in Ravenna on May 19th and 20th, Palazzo Rasponi dalle Teste hosts NAVI E MARINAI (lit. Ships and sailors), a photo exhibition by Luigi Tazzari.
The project of the photographer revolves around the area of the city port, one of Italy’s most important ones.
His colour photos examine life onboard a cargo ship, documenting its reality and filtering it through the lens of the artist. You will get a glimpse on the homesickness of the sailors, their everyday life, their way of living the ship as a house, the magic of the sea and infinity.
The port is like an imaginary bridge among the many cultures and people that live in our world, in a time when living together is getting more and more difficult.
