On the occasion of European Maritime Day 2022, taking place in Ravenna on May 19th and 20th, Palazzo Rasponi dalle Teste hosts OCEANDIPITY, a solo exhibition of Luca Barberini.
A few months before the inauguration of the Biennial of Contemporary Mosaic, the city presents one of its most appreciated contemporary mosaic artists, famous at international level for its works related to the sea.
The exhibition recounts – thanks to a harmonious and easily recognisable journey – the latest 20 years of Barberini’s art, with 14 sea-themed works.
The exhibition will offer visitors the possibility to discover the many topics addressed by a very profound and unique artist, who has attracted the attention of art critics and the public thanks to his ability to present and represent the mosaic language of Ravenna in an unprecedented way.
His outgoing, curious and explorative character lead the artist to the use of a sesies of techniques and approaches that are directly relatable to drawing, comics and scenography, with vibrant pop elements and peculiar details evoking drawings and graffiti.
