During the holiday season, the old town of Ravenna shines with RAVENNA IN LUCE, an itinerary to visit and admire extraordinary light creations produced by visionary video-mapping artists.
From December 17th to January 8th, architectural projections will dress the Basilica of San Francesco – an iconic place related to the history of the city – with light.
A journey through the images on the facade of the Basilica of San Francesco with a show called La Luce delle Parole (lit. the light of the words), featuring dreamlike and magic images in honour of Dante Alighieri.
Furthermore, until 8th January 2023, via Corrado Ricci and via Mazzini will be lightened up with La Luce delle Parole, a long series of installations that retrace some of the Supreme Poet’s most famous verses with light.

A homage to Dante on the facade of the Basilica of San Francesco. The protagonists of the videomapping show in Piazza San Francesco will be the same hendecasyllabes that lighten up the streets of Ravenna. A mix of words and mosaics, which Dante Alighieri most certainly saw during his stay in the city.
