Bike ride through the Southern Valleys of Comacchio

Itinerary: 12 km
Guided tour on a bike across the Southern valleys of Comacchio at the end of the day, with landscapes suspended between the sky and the water and flocks of flamingoes. Led by an expert guide, you will discover the secrets of these places made of water mirrors, where you can see hundreds of pink flamingoes. Taking the traditional ferry boat on the Reno river, you will reach this magical place, where, equipped with binoculars, you will observe the various bird species inhabiting the area.

THE FLOODED FOREST
Excursion on foot across Punte Alberete
Meeting point: at the Punte Alberete car park, along the S.S. 309 Romea.

Itinerary: 3.5 km
Guided excursion on foot to discover the flooded forest of Punte Alberete, near Ravenna, with birdwatching activity.

THE FLAMINGO BIKE RIDE

Guided tour on a bike across the Southern valleys of Comacchio, to discover the nature of the Po Delta Park and be amazed by expanse of pink flamingos. Each participant will have binoculars and the itinerary includes the traditional ferry boat ride on the Reno river.

IN THE HEART OF THE ANCIENT PINE FOREST – WILD EXPERIENCE
Excursion on foot across the Pine forest of San Vitale
Meeting point: parking lot in front of the entrance to the Pine forest of San Vitale (coordinates 44°30’29.1″N 12°13’26.6″E)

Itinerary: 3.5 km
Naturalistic walk across the Pine forest of San Vitale, one of the oldest forests in Ravenna. All participants will be equipped with binoculars for observation.

PINK VALLEYS
Hike in the southern valleys of Comacchio
Meeting point: Museo NatuRa, via Rivaletto 25

Itinerary: 3.5 km
Departing from Sant’Alberto, the tour will proceed on foot along the banks of the river Reno, to observe the Southern Valleys of Comacchio and the magic of these places suspended between water and sky, populated by many birds species. You will do birdwatching with binoculars, admiring these expanses of flamingos. This is an ideal tour for all the naturalist photography enthusiasts

A WALK IN BOSCOFORTE
Meeting point: the gate of Boscoforte (from the ferry boat in S. Alberto, on the side of Comacchio, follow the dirt road eastwards, after about 700 m you’ll find the gate on your left)
Time: from 22 June on Saturday and Sunday at 9.30am, 4pm and 6pm. Only in August, on Wednesdays at 6pm
Excursions on foot across the Boscoforte green area, in the heart of the Comacchio Valleys, part of the Delta Po Valley. This corner of paradise is an old strip of dunes that originated in Etruscan times and was preserved for years, remaining closed to the public. This closure made a great biodiversity of species possible. But what you will find even more unexpected and suggestive is the meeting with the Camargue-Delta horses, which have been wandering on this so old and suggestive stretch of land for many years by now.

Guided excursion along the borders of the Ramazzotti pine forest, the victim of arson 7 years ago that showed an incredible rebirth. The circular tour around the Ramazzotti Pine Forest will end up at an observation tower at the mouth of the river Bevano. An expert guide will give information on the environment, botany and avifauna
