As part of the Ravenna Festival program, a concert for violin and piano by RENAUD CAPUÇON and DAVID FRAY will be held on May 18th at Teatro Alighieri.
Capuçon and Fray are leading soloists in today’s violinism and pianism, acclaimed as much for the breadth of their repertoire and the sophistication of their chamber music as for their aptitude for restoring to music the absolute power of expression.
The program designed for this concert brings to the forefront the close relationship between Schubert and the Beethoven of the Kreutzer Sonata, the incandescent “soundtrack” to Tolstoy’s novel of the same name.
