From 20th October to 7th January 2024, in the frame of the 8th Biennial of Contemporary Mosaic, the spaces of the National Museum of Ravenna host THE WAR ISN’T LOVE: ICONE DI GUERRA DI UN DIO INVISIBILE, curated by Anna Caterino.
Pain, courage, suffering, tenacity, inevitable cultural differences. These are just some of the essential ingredients of the artistic production of Emily Miller, artist of Ukrainian origin who frequented the mosaic school in the laboratory of Gruppo Mosaicisti Ravenna.
In the last centuries, in which part of the society seems to have become indifferent to faith, Miller reminds us that religious art has never stopped its journey, not even in a tragical period – as the present one – of which she becomes the spokeswoman.
