From 15th June to 30th July, as part of the 2nd edition of Coconino Fest, the Mar – Ravenna Art Museum hosts LOVE COMICS, an exhibition dedicated to some of the most important artists of contemporary comics representative of the Italian publishing house Coconino Press.
Comics about love. And love for comics, a contemporary and unique language, capable of telling great stories throught the combination of drawing and writing.
Four extensive exhibitions of original tables by some of the greatest artists at international level: two gone artists, whose works still fascinate the new generations, Andrea Pazienza and Kazuo Kamimura, and two among the most awarded and appreciated comic artists on the international scene, Manuele Fior and Paolo Bacilieri.
A fift exhibition will turn the spotlight on works by young artists discovered and launched by Coconino Press: BeneDì (Benedetta D’Incau), Silvia Righetti e Rambo Pavone, as proof of the liveliness and pluralism of styles and stories originating from a new and smart generation of authors that has just appeared on the scene.
The exhibition is part of this year’s programme of COCONINO FEST, in Ravenna from 15th to 18th June, a new festival celebrating comic art, putting it in relation with other languages and expressive forms, such as music, novels, cinema and theatre.
